Keriann Pauls
Day Center Director
A new transplant from the Midwest to the Bay Area, Keriann
has jumped into her role at Vital Life Services with both
feet. When not scurrying around The Center, she can be found
patronizing the local bicycle lanes or frequenting the vast
food, music and art scenes.

Peggy Bush
Executive Director
Peggy did a friend a favor by stepping in as Executive Director at Vital Life Services for a
two-week stint. Ten years later she is still here! Peggy is a long-time Bay Area resident, 58
year old mother of two teenagers, attorney focusing on elder abuse and general business,
mediator and arbitrator.

Simona Fino
Development Director
Simona has been enjoying her work in the non-profit world for over 10 years.
From Hospice administration to fundraising for the Red Cross, Simona has gained
an appreciation of the world of helping others. Outside of the 'office', Simona
enjoys dancing, cooking, and just about anything in the outdoors.

Morris Clark
Kitchen Coordinator
Morris had been feeding our clients with
nutritious food and love for over 6 years. His favorite part
of the job is helping and supporting people. When hes not
in the kitchen he enjoys traveling, collecting exotic plants,
and music (especially jazz!).

Debbie Rugh
Program Director
Former teacher, manufacturer and caterer calls this is her best job ever because
every day at Vital Life Services is hectic, but fun and rewarding. She has lived
in Berkeley since the sixties. This wife, mother and grandmother enjoys reading,
cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Directions
The center is located in Oakland on San Pablo Avenue @ Stanford. There is only on-street parking available.
From San Francisco:
Take the 580 Interstate to Hwy. 24. Get off at the 51st. St./ Martin Luther King, Jr. Way exit. There will be three lanes. Get in the left lane marked Martin Luther King Jr. Way (MLK). Take MLK up to Adeline and make a left onto Adeline. Adeline will turn into Stanford. Make a right off Stanford onto San Pablo. The Center is the second building on the right side.
From the South & East (880 & 580)
I-880 and I-580 turn into I-80. Take the 1st exit on the right, which is Powell Street. Turn right onto Powell Street. Powell turns into Stanford. Turn left onto San Pablo. The Center is the second building on the right side.
From the North: (80 & 580)
Take the 1st exit on the right, which is Powell Street. Turn left onto Powell Street and go under the freeway. Powell turns into Stanford. Turn left onto San Pablo. The Center is the second building on the right side.
